April Awareness | Alee Solutions Encourages Difficult Conversations

I want to ask, why as a country do we plan for life changes such as having a baby, getting married or graduating, but less than 1/3 of Americans plan for one of the life event every single one of us will experience — the end?

April 16 through 22, 2020 marks the National Healthcare Decisions Day week long efforts to celebrate efforts made across the country to encourage everyone to start the necessary conversation about death with their loved ones. This is designed to promote the discussion specifically about health care decision-making at the end of life. Time and again I work with families on how to process their guilt related to having to make these decisions for their loved ones rather than having asked them what they wanted before the time came.
